Lilly Alice Steffensen

Alchemist

Lilly Alice Steffensen is a Norwegian conceptual textile artist who grew up at the foot of the Caucasus mountains amidst Middle Eastern carpet weavers. 

She has an interdisciplinary background in Pattern Construction from the Pattern Cutting Academy in Gothenburg, Sweden and a masters in biomedicine. Through textile she translates affective physiological experiences and communication into performative acts of movement and interaction where the garment is the voice of the wearer. In addition to her own practice she frequently collaborates with other artists.    

Currently she is based in Oslo/NO.
